Vendor Commission Agreement
By registering and operating as a vendor on Mobys Trade, you agree to this Vendor Commission Agreement and all related marketplace policies. Mobys Trade operates strictly as a multi-vendor marketplace and does not act as the seller of vendor products.
Mobys Trade charges a fixed and non-negotiable commission of eight percent on every successful sale completed through the platform. This commission is automatically deducted from each transaction before vendor payout. The commission is calculated on the product selling price and does not include delivery charges or government taxes unless otherwise stated by Mobys Trade.
Vendors are entitled to receive the remaining ninety-two percent of the net product sale value after commission deduction. Payouts are processed according to Mobys Trade’s payout schedule and the rules of the selected payment provider. Vendors are fully responsible for providing accurate and valid payment and banking details. Mobys Trade is not responsible for payout delays caused by incorrect information, banking errors, or third-party payment processor issues.
All refunds, returns, and post-sale customer issues are the sole responsibility of the vendor. Vendors must handle refund requests in compliance with Mobys Trade policies and applicable Nigerian consumer protection laws. Where a refund is approved, the vendor bears the full cost of the refund. Commission deductions may be reversed or adjusted at Mobys Trade’s discretion subject to payment gateway limitations.
Vendors agree to list only lawful, genuine, and accurately described products. Vendors are responsible for order fulfillment, product quality, delivery, customer communication, and dispute resolution. Any misleading pricing, false advertising, counterfeit products, or unfair trade practices are strictly prohibited.
Mobys Trade provides only the technology platform that connects buyers and vendors. Mobys Trade does not own, inspect, store, or guarantee vendor products and is not liable for product defects, delivery failures, or vendor conduct. Vendors agree to indemnify and hold Mobys Trade harmless from all claims, losses, damages, or liabilities arising from their products, services, or actions.
Mobys Trade reserves the right to suspend or terminate any vendor account for commission evasion, policy violations, fraudulent activity, repeated customer complaints, or illegal conduct. Any outstanding commissions owed to Mobys Trade remain payable even after account suspension or termination.
Mobys Trade may revise commission rates or marketplace terms in the future. Vendors will be notified of any changes, and continued use of the platform after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
By completing vendor registration on Mobys Trade, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Vendor Commission Agreement and authorize Mobys Trade to deduct the eight percent commission on all completed sales.
